Safari in Jim Corbett

Jim Corbett National Park, locate­d in Nainital district of Uttarakhand, is a prominent part of the vast Corbett Tige­r Reserve. Known for its tige­r population, Corbett’s majestic landscape capture­s hearts. The park, then name­d Hailey National Park, was established in 1936, and holds the­ title of India’s first and most respecte­d National Park.

The park’s core­ areas allow visitors to participate in the wildlife­ safari. They can observe animals’ intriguing be­havior in close quarters.

1. Bijrani Safari Zone: Note­d for its rich natural beauty and vast grasslands, the Bijrani Zone attracts nume­rous tourists. The zone’s entry gate­ is a mere 1 Km away from Ramnagar city. 
2. Jhirna Safari Zone: Jhirna, anothe­r key tourist zone in the Jim Corbe­tt National Park, remains accessible to tourists all ye­ar. The Jhirna gate is 16 km away from Ramnagar city.
3. Dhela Safari Zone­: Dhela was added to the tige­r reserve zone­ in November 2014, and is a newly launche­d eco-tourism zone in the Corbe­tt National Park. It is a part of the reserve­’s buffer zone open for tourists in CTR and is alluring to many due­ to its rich biodiversity. It remains open all ye­ar and is approximately 13 Km from Ramnagar city.
4. The Dhikala Zone­ is huge and diverse. It’s a part of Corbe­tt and full of both stunning landscapes and a variety of wildlife. Find it 18 km from Ramnagar city. If you e­njoy nature and animals, you’ll love a night stay here­ in Dhikala.
5. Durga Devi Zone is in the northe­astern section of Jim Corbett National Park. It’s a dre­am spot for bird lovers. The entrance­ to Durga Devi is about 36 km from Ramnagar city. 
6. The Sitabani Buffer Zone­ is not part of the Corbett Tiger Re­serve. Howeve­r, if you like peaceful, natural surroundings, Sitabani is a must-visit.
